Beyond’s organic roasted cashews are a bit different than other roasted and salted cashews you might be used to eating.  Beyond works directly with the cashew farmers and processes and roasts their own cashews to ensure that no harmful pesticides are added to the cashews.  As a Fairtrade certified company,  our roasted cashews are gluten free, pesticide free, and non-GMO.

Roasted Salted Cashews

Roasted Cashews are a great snack food that has a number of benefits. People have snacked on roasted cashews for centuries. The roasted and salted cashews we offer at Beyond the Nut are all organic and fair trade, too. If you’re looking for a snack that tastes great and is good for you, reach for a bag of our roasted cashews.

The Health Benefits of Roasted Cashews

Roasted Salted Cashews have many benefits:

  • They can help control LDL cholesterol levels.
  • They reduced the risk of stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular disease.
  • Eating cashews at least four times a week can help prevent coronary heart disease.
  • Cashews are high in magnesium, a mineral that plays a major part in metabolizing foods and synthesizing fatty acids.
  • Cashews can help with weight management when eaten in moderation.
  • Eating roasted cashews and other nuts regularly can reduce the risk of gallstones.
  • Cashews are high in copper and are an easy way of getting the daily recommended copper intake.

Roasted cashews contain less fat than other nuts, and the fat they do contain is about 75% unsaturated fatty acids. Oleic acid makes up the majority of these unsaturated fatty acids. It’s the same fat that makes olive oil so healthy. When this monounsaturated fat is added to a diet that’s already low in fat, it reduces the triglyceride level, which in turn lowers the risk of heart disease. A quarter of a cup of cashews a day provides more than a third of the recommended amount of monounsaturated fat for a day.

Tips for Adding Roasted Salted Cashews to Your Diet

There are a number of different ways to add roasted cashews to your diet:

  • Eat them as a snack.
  • Mix them in with trail mix.
  • Add cashews to salads and stir fries.
  • Use chopped cashews as a topping for chicken and fish dishes.

You can definitely be creative with how you use roasted cashews – add them to baked goods, side dishes, and anything else you can think of!

Where Do Our Roasted Cashews Come From?

All of our cashews are imported from a farm in Benin, West Africa. Unlike some companies that sell cashews, Beyond the Nut believes in fair trade. We have invested in the community by building a local processing factory in Benin. This factory uses the safest methods possible to process raw cashews. Local employees are paid a fair wage for all of the work they do. These cashews are also certified organic. That means no pesticides, GMOs, or other artificial chemicals were used during any phase of the growth cycle. When you eat a handful of Beyond the Nut roasted cashews, you can rest easy knowing that you’re eating food that is all-natural and presents no health danger to you or your family.

If you haven’t had our roasted cashews, visit our online store and purchase a package. You’ll taste the Beyond the Nut difference in every bite.
